C: What are your tasks at Liefergrün?
A: I mainly take care of the recruiting process. This includes creating job postings, screening applications, but also actively approaching people (via LinkedIn, etc.) who might be a good fit for Liefergrün. I conduct initial interviews with applicants* and continue to coordinate the application process with each department. I am responsible for the process until the contract is signed at Liefergrün - then it is passed on to the People Team for onboarding and further steps. I also take care of employer branding. This means that I take care of onboarding packages, emerging concerns between marketing and people departments, and potential job fairs.
C: What is your superpower?
A: I think my superpower is that I am very good with people. I consider myself to be a very open person and relatively rarely fail to find a common topic to talk about with my counterpart.
C: What do you think are the most important characteristics of a team?
A: I think it's incredibly important that you can work together with your colleagues equally well and also exchange ideas. That you can easily express what bothers you about the other person, etc. without taking it personally or even maliciously. And, of course, the shared motivation and drive to do what we do.
C: What has been your personal greatest sense of achievement at Liefergrün so far?
A: That was pretty much at the beginning of my tenure at Delivery Green. In March of this year, we hired 5-6 people for our Operations Department in a short period of time, providing great support to our team.
C: Why did you decide to work in a startup and not in a corporation?
A: In a startup, you have much more freedom! You have much more room to bring in your own ideas and to be able to implement them. You are trusted right from the start. There is simply a completely different culture of making mistakes; no one complains if you make a mistake, which is what it's all about: because you learn from mistakes.
C: What do you do when you're not working on a startup?
A: Dogs! I love dogs. After work, I also like to go to the gym to unwind or have a beer with friends or work colleagues. Otherwise, I visit my family and friends back home whenever it suits me.
C: What does a typical day in the office look like for you?
A: First of all, we have coffee. Then we start the daily meeting with the team. Everyone works on the tasks at hand and everything else that comes up for the day. This is always different. There is usually a joint lunch break and a game of table tennis or two in between. And in the evening, depending on demand, we sometimes have a beer together after work.
"We share a common drive and believe in the same vision of making the last mile green!"
C: Why delivery greenery?
A: First and foremost because of the team - you can really feel at home here and everyone is warmly welcomed. I believe that we can really make a difference here. I enjoy my work incredibly much and it's even better with this great and relaxed team. We have a common drive and believe in the same vision of making the last mile green! Surrounding yourself with people who think the same way and have the same motivation is worth a lot.
